Allison lives in Seattle, Washington and has worked in the field
of adoption for over twenty years. She is currently self
employed and contracts with local adoption agencies and attorneys doing home studies and post placement reports. She is also
an employee of Journeys of the Heart and has been a part of
their Taiwan program for the past seven years. She also does
adoption trainings for health care professionals under a federal
grant called the Adoption Awareness Training Program. Allison
has been with AAPA since 2006 and has worked with families in
the greater Seattle area as well as western Canada.

Kevin Cookman is an adoption consultant who brings a wealth

clients in the Zurich area where she lives with her husband and
three adopted daughters. Elizabeth brings a wealth of information

She and her husband Tom, a retired officer in the United States Army, and her sons both adopted from Russia now live in Hawaii. Megan Paterson-Brown, MA, CMHC, holds a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California and is a Certified Mental Health Clinician. A staff psychotherapist during her tenure at Hall Health Student Mental Health Clinic at the University of Washington in Seattle, Megan and her Scottish husband moved to Switzerland 7 years ago. She teaches Psychology and Eastern Traditions at Webster University, in Geneva, where she lives with her husband William and adopted son Finlay.

Monica is an adoption consultant, adoptive parent, and military
spouse who has lived in Korea and Japan and now resides in Delaware. Monica consults with
many of our clients in Korea, Japan, and the US. She has a masters in family counseling and has experience as a classroom teacher as well as with working with children and families.

Seta is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). She has a
Bachelor Degree in Sociology from Seattle Pacific University and a Masters
Degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago. Seta has worked a
variety of jobs in the fields of child welfare and adoption since 1999. She
has worked as a child and family therapist for children and families
involved in the child welfare system, she has worked with underprivileged
families, and has worked as a caseworker for foster children. Since 2005,
she has provided home study and post placement services for both domestic
and international adoptions, as well as Hague adoptions. She performs
adoption services both independently and as a contracted employee with
adoption agencies.
Adoption Consultant for Russia
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Danny St. Louis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked with Children for over 40 years in the USA and overseas. He Graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a major in Psychology, and the University of Denver with a MSW. He lived and worked in Russia for 9 years and specializes in Russian adoptions. He is familiar with the challenges of adopting Russian and Ukranian children while living in Moscow, Russia. He also taught in Russian Universities and worked for a USAID program. Now, Danny resides in Pittsburgh with his wife Rita and travels to Russia.

Naomi is a Clinical Social Worker for the US Army in Germany. Ms. Lau is an associate of American Adoption Professionals, Inc. and makes home visits for AAPA clients in Europe for adoption home studies and adoption post placements.
She has post-graduate training in family and child assessment and treatment. She has many years’ experience as an educator and clinician working with families.
